Covid-19 Policy

Genesee Area Library’s first responsibility is to ensure the safety of our employees, volunteers, patrons, and our community. Covid-19 is a serious, life-threatening disease that has infected millions of people worldwide and continues to pose a threat. Genesee Area Library strives to take necessary precautions to protect our employees, volunteers, and patrons from becoming infected as we continue to serve our community including wearing masks, social distancing, and the use of hand sanitizers.

Anyone who is currently not vaccination should wear a mask before entering the library. If you do not have a mask and need one, one will be provided for you.

All patrons are asked to sanitize hands before browsing books or using computers. Sanitizer can be found throughout the library.  In addition, disposable gloves will be provided for those who chose to wear them.

All materials will be quarantined for no less than 24 hours after being returned to the library.

*Please note that this policy is subject to change at any time based on current state and/or local guidelines or increase of transmission/cases.
