YA Summer Reading

Book bingo is a self-directed summer reading challenge for adults and teens with an opportunities for prizes. Each square represents a different reading challenge chosen by the Genesee Area Library staff. Each participant will fill in the appropriate squares as they read books over the summer. Book titles can only be used once per bingo card.

How Do I Get a Bingo Card?

You can download a copy of the YA card here, You can also pick one up at the library or call us at 814-228-3328 if you need one mailed to you.

How Do I Find Books for these Categories?

You can visit the library for book recommendations that suit your taste, visit our online catalog here, or check out Novelist Plus here.

How to Play:

Keep track of the books you read from June 1st through September 1st and write the title and author in the matching square.
A title can only be used once per bingo card.

Does it Matter How I Read?

Nope! Physical books, e-books, audio-books, or e-audiobooks can all be used to complete the challenge.

How to Win:

  • BINGO! Complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line for 1 entry for a $50 Barnes and Nobel gift card per bingo completed. Two gift cards will be awarded.
  • Books must be read between June 1st and September 1st.
  • Return your Bingo cards (or a copy) by September 10th to:
    • Email: take a picture, or give it a scan and email it to library@geneseelibrary.com
    • Mail: Genesee Area Library ATTN: Summer Reading 301 Main St Genesee, Pa. 16923
    • In Person: drop it off at the library in person or seal it in an envelope and place it in the book drop with ATTN: Summer Reading.

Fine Print: One Bingo card per person. One prize per person. Prizes will be drawn on September 13th and winners will be notified by September 17th. Prize winners must have a Genesee Area Library card (free for residents) in good standing.
